This is the tree most people over fifty remember, and the smell is the reason to buy it. Nothing else we grow fills a room like a Norway spruce.
It also drops. We are not going to pretend otherwise: in a room at 21°C with the radiator under it, you will be hoovering by the third week. Buy it late, cut an inch off the bottom before it goes in water, keep the stand topped up daily, and it will be fine to Christmas.
It is the cheapest tree on the farm and the one we put in our own front rooms.

The one almost everybody wants. Soft, deep green, and it holds its needles until well past Twelfth Night.
